USCIS has changed the fees for the N-400 Application for Naturalization
UPDATE April 2024
Effective April 1, 2024, filing the N-400 form, Application for Naturalization and U.S. Citizenship, will increase to $760 from $725, an increase of $35. Previously, the total cost included a separate application fee ($640) and a separate biometric fee ($85) for a total of $725. Under this new fee rule, the biometric fee is no longer a separate fee. The total fee is now $760 for paper filers. For online filers, the total fee actually decreases from $725 to $710. See the table below (source USCIS): here.
Applications filed and postmarked on or after the April 1st date, require the new fee. Applicants that submit the application on or after that date without the correct fee, will have the application rejected according to USCIS.
